what is fpv

FPV is short for First Person View. Using a camera that broadcasts video in real time and some goggles to receive the video stream, the user can see what the camera sees. This is used on drones and RC cars to get the feeling as if the pilot or person driving would be inside the cockpit.

the ball

The ball contains such a camera and transmitter to stream the video. With a small lipo battery, the system can run for a few minutes. The camera and battery are held in place by a 3d printed plastic piece that also shields the antenna from impact. The whole thing was designed to be put inside a tennis ball.

The ball can be thrown to a target area as a spy device, or simply for the experience of being thrown through the air.

The feeling

Was not as expected. I ditched the project after the first few throws.
